Genesis Car Audio Hello loyal fans...............I have the unfortunate job of giving you the sad news that as of midday today we closed the factory doors and will no longer be the much loved GENESIS amplifiers.............thank you all for your continued support over the last 19 years.

הבנתי שגורדון כבר לא הבעלים, לא כן ?

גורדון יפתח מקום פרטי משל עצמו בשם THE AMP DOCTOR שבו יעסוק בתיקון, שיפוץ ושיפור מגברים מכל הסוגים.

איתמר, צודק, אלה אפוג'יי שהורו על הסגירה

משום מה נראה לי שגורדון לא יעזוב כל כך מהר את העסק של ייצור מגברים, הוא אמנם פותח מקום חדש לתיקון ושיפור של מגברים (ע"פ אליקו) אבל יש בי תחושה עזה שמגברי ג'נסיס יחזרו בשם אחר.

כרגע, אבדה גדולה בתחום המגברים.

עצוב לשמוע דבר שכזה , אפשר עוד פרטים לגבי סיבת הסגירה?

This is probably the hardest post I have ever had to write but there are already rummors out there…………….and yes unfortunately it is true…………….on Thursday 26th August 2010 Apogee Electronics Ltd closed the doors to the Genesis factory for good.

Gordon and the staff would like to thank all of our customers who have been so loyal over the last 19 years.

This website will be still be active for you to check back for any technical information you may require.

לפני כמה חודשים Apogee Electronics קנתה את Genesis, גורדון נשאר באותו התפקיד רק מכר את הבעלות, ד"א זה לא אומר שזה סוף המותג, ל-Apogee יש זכויות מלאות על המותג וכל המוצרים, אולי הם יעבירו את הייצור למזרח ? אולי הם יעשו משהו אחר עם המותג? אי אפשר לדעת.

Don't be too worried folks, while the factory has closed this doesn't mean the end of the line for the Genesis brand.

As you may have heard my services will still be available to you through The Amp Doctor, and this will include a range of enhancements and upgrades that weren't available via Genesis / Apogee.

These upgrade services and repairs will also be available on other selected brands of amps, so those of you who have been left high and dry by changes in distribution of other brands will now have both support, and the option of upgrades that weren't previously open to you .

All Genesis warranties will still be valid so if your amp is within the warranty period this will be honoured. This applies to dealers too so there is full backup for all Genesis products.

You can still pm me for tech support on Genesis products.

Regarding the team we had, it is a very sad day for them as they loved building products that they could take so much pride in.

We have a strong (if from today slightly smaller) electronics industry in Southend and I expect they will find placements in the near future.

They were all very good at what they did, and their skills will transfer well to any manufacturing role.

The Amp Doctor services will be available early September, I will keep everyone updated when we are up and running.

"The name Genesis is so strong in the industry and in peoples hearts, this may be the closing of one door, but I'm sure another will open - might just take a while! I hold out hope for the name!"

Absolutely, the closure of the factory doesn't necessarily signal the end of the brand.

A number of premium brands have been through changes of similar magnitude over the years and are still with us.

I'd be surprised if someone didn't pick up the baton and run with it.
