Dynaliner is a polyether, urethane-based, thermo- acoustic foam. Dynaliner is designed to be die cut and applied in the automotive interior, such as behind trim panels and under carpeting. The material can withstand temperature ranges between -40ºF and +225ºF (-40ºC to +107ºC)

 

Acoustic Properties:

The effectiveness of an acoustic foam depends on its ability to convert sound waves into heat energy. Dynaliner has a combination of open and closed cells to accept and dissipate sound waves. If all the foam cells were open, sound waves would simply pass through. Conversely, if all the foam cells were closed, few sound waves would be absorbed. The acoustic foam in Dynaliner is cast in sheets for consistent resistivity levels throughout the foam, to assure maximum sound absorption.

 

Applications:

Dynaliner is used as an automotive interior acoustic treatment. It is also used in other applications requiring acoustical foams.

 

Installation:

Use scissors, knife or die to cut Dynaliner to the desired size and shape before installation. Next, remove dust, grease, moisture, and other foreign matter from the application surface. The simplest application technique is to bend the Dynaliner slightly and attach it along its shortest edge. Press Dynaliner firmly into place.
