Discover, yes i realize that, yet i have a few months here and I need to replace my 14mpg Jeep Grand Cherokee with something.. so I figured I could replace it with a car i could take with me to Israel.
The way taxes work for me would be a 25%+VAT for a car with 1.75 liter or less and 50%+VAT for a car with a larger motor.
The Mini seems to make lots of sense then, being that it is 1.6liter. But I still dont think id want to pay the premium they charge for it in Israel. I mean, i could probably buy a 2007 Mini Cooper S here for around $19k vs the 3.29*10^2934 they charge for it in Israel.. but if it's not doable, i guess i should look for a different car. The GTI comes to mind then.. although 2.0L = more tax.
